Michael's Book Babble

I'm an indie author and a scribbler of inane babble. I talk about books I've read/liked. Or at least, that's the plan.

Most of the reviews will be considered "mini-reviews." Usually, it's mostly my reaction to what I've been reading. There are people who are far better at doing full and helpful reviews. But I still have fun doing them, and hope you enjoy them!

Crazy reads that'll stay with you long after you're finished...

Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World - Haruki Murakami, Alfred Birnbaum NOS4A2 - Joe Hill The Disaster Artist: My Life Inside The Room, the Greatest Bad Movie Ever Made - Greg Sestero, Tom Bissell Tenth of December - George Saunders Mr. Mercedes - Stephen King After Dark - Jay Rubin, Haruki Murakami Catch-22 - Joseph Heller The Dinner - Herman Koch, Sam Garrett 20th Century Ghosts - Joe Hill, Christopher Golden

Here are some of the craziest books I've read in the past year or two that have stuck with me. In no particular order:

Hard-boiled Wonderland and the End of the World (Haruki Murakami)

NOS4A2 (Joe Hill)

The Disaster Artist (Greg Sestero)

Tenth of December (George Saunders)

Mr. Mercedes (Stephen King)

After Dark (Haruki Murakami)

Catch 22 (Joseph Heller)

The Dinner (Herman Koch) - I know a lot of people didn't care for this one, but I loved it!

20th Century Ghosts (Joe Hill)
