Michael's Book Babble

I'm an indie author and a scribbler of inane babble. I talk about books I've read/liked. Or at least, that's the plan.

Most of the reviews will be considered "mini-reviews." Usually, it's mostly my reaction to what I've been reading. There are people who are far better at doing full and helpful reviews. But I still have fun doing them, and hope you enjoy them!

Currently reading

Hitch-22: A Memoir
Christopher Hitchens
Progress: 90/1054 minutes
Wait for Signs: Twelve Longmire Stories
Craig Johnson
Progress: 105/184 pages
A Blink of the Screen: Collected Shorter Fiction - Terry Pratchett

Only a few stories in, and I'm enjoying myself. Even his stories from when he was first starting out as a young lad are really good. The collection has been light when it comes to tone thus far.

"The Picture," a story that Terry admits he's glad he didn't try to sell, is actually one of my favorites right now. It's short and has a Twilight Zone feel to it.

I like the brief intros by the author for each story. The audiobook is great so far. I think it only has two readers. Right now, I've only heard one and he's great.
