Michael's Book Babble

I'm an indie author and a scribbler of inane babble. I talk about books I've read/liked. Or at least, that's the plan.

Most of the reviews will be considered "mini-reviews." Usually, it's mostly my reaction to what I've been reading. There are people who are far better at doing full and helpful reviews. But I still have fun doing them, and hope you enjoy them!

Currently reading

Hitch-22: A Memoir
Christopher Hitchens
Progress: 90/1054 minutes
Wait for Signs: Twelve Longmire Stories
Craig Johnson
Progress: 105/184 pages

Reading progress update: I've read 14 out of 211 pages.

Sudden Flash Youth: 65 Short-Short Stories - Christine Perkins-Hazuka, Mark Budman, Tom Hazuka

I friggen' love flash fiction. I love being able to completely take in a story within minutes. Not only that, but I'm always fascinated by what an author can do with so little space. I know it doesn't please everybody, but it's one of my favorite things to read.

And right now? I'm loving this collection. I'm only 14 pages in, but I'm loving it so far. "First Virtual" by Kathleen O'Donnell could be one of the best flash fiction stories I've ever read, and is worth the price alone.

Really looking forward into reading more.
