I'm an indie author and a scribbler of inane babble. I talk about books I've read/liked. Or at least, that's the plan.
Most of the reviews will be considered "mini-reviews." Usually, it's mostly my reaction to what I've been reading. There are people who are far better at doing full and helpful reviews. But I still have fun doing them, and hope you enjoy them!
I really want to see the movie, The Drop, which is based off a Dennis Lehane book, and he also wrote the screenplay. I watched the trailer for it last night. And they keep showing this cute, adorable puppy.
"Oh shit... Something terrible is going to happen to that puppy, right?"
That's all I could think. And because of that, I'm avoiding both the book and movie. Pets are my weakness. It crushes me when I see an animal get hurt or killed. I understand it has to happen sometimes for the sake of the story, but it absolutely crushes me.
And seeing this puppy shown throughout the trailer...I just couldn't help but think something really terrible happens to him/her.
If anybody has seen this or read the book, can you please let me know? Especially now that we have a puppy, I'm really extra touchy...
